Writing my personal story, "Self-realization and Renewal," (on page 219) was a journey that brought up many fears about vulnerability as I wrote and rewrote the words until it felt right and authentic!

On launch day, June 11th, our book achieved:

#1 New Release in Self-Esteem Self-Help

#1 in Dysfunctional Relationships

#3 in Self-Esteem Self-Help

You’ve heard the adage, “Be the change you want to see in the world!” This anthology project is exactly that. Women who have created change are sharing their stories to empower, connect, and create more change. This book is about who we are, not just what we do.

By investing in this book, you are investing in a movement of empowered women using storytelling to connect through our common experiences.

Teaser "Self-realization and Renewal" by Jenn Ocken

In 2007, I left the artistic vibrancy of Chicago for the unexpected allure of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This move was more than just a change of scenery; it was a leap into self-discovery and growth. Leaving behind a collaborative business with my brothers, I ventured into the unknown to carve my niche and find autonomy.

Baton Rouge, often overlooked by creative minds, became my place of solace and community. Here, I built lasting relationships, a supportive network, and found clients who truly valued my work. My journey wasn't without its challenges; self-doubt and the need for external validation often overshadowed my accomplishments. However, through loss and introspection, I discovered the power of self-love, forgiveness, and the strength to trust myself.

The Front Porch Project, initiated during the pandemic, exemplified these lessons. It was a beacon of hope, connecting photographers and families while supporting local businesses. This project wasn't just about photography; it was about empowering a community and transforming internal chaos into purposeful action.

My story, found on page 219, Chapter 24, of "Own Your Story: Empower, Connect, Create Change," is a testament to embracing change, nurturing community, and the resilience of the human spirit.
